2.2.1 is now available and is now compatible with "all other major office
suites."The

suite software can create files that can be opened, altered and viewed
with virtually all versions of Microsoft Word (a word processor), Excel
(a spreadsheet), Access (a database) and PowerPoint (presentation software).
The new 2.0 version of
OpenOffice.org
now allows a novice to open and create database files without any knowledge
of databases or SQL!
Corel WordPerfect™ filters
are now in place allowing more advanced computer users to import and export
files, but is still a little difficult for novice users. Future versions
of OpenOffice.org
will have easier tools available for users to simply click and easily
create and alter existing Corel WordPerfect™ files. Remember, patience
is a virtue, it's on its way.
